Karuizawa Kariyado | Oohinata
Located in the western part of Karuizawa, Kariyado is an old residential area of the town that stretches to the north of Shinano Oiwake Station. The name "Kariyado" (Borrowed accommodation village, if directly translated) is said to be derived from the fact that it was a temporary inn town between Kutsukake-juku (near Naka Karuizawa) and Oiwake-juku on the old Nakasendo avenue.
This property is a newly built house located in a newly developed residential park at the center of the Oohinata district in the northern part of Kariyado. Real bricks are used for the exterior walls, with double insulation between the bricks and the structural walls, as well as internal insulation between the interior and the structural walls, which result in a highly insulated house that meets the Hokkaido standard for heat transmittance coefficient of 0.46W/m2-K (Japan energy conservation standard for 2016). It is also an energy-saving house with solar panels on the roof, which is rare for a newly built house property for sale.
A 44.7 million yen (including tax) house is also under construction in the same residential park with the almost same floor plan.
