Entering south at the Asama Sunline Entrance intersection on Route 18, the old Nakasendo road continues onward to the Odaijuku area. This road is well known by local residents as a back road leading to Miyota Town and Saku City. Along the way, the road passes through the western end of the Mikage Water Supply Canal. There are many villas and green areas along the road, and the area is often visited by those who wish to take a stroll along the old Nakasendo road.
The property is a used residential building located in and above a residential area past the Mikage Waterway and north of the intersection shortly after crossing the town boundary between Karuizawa and Miyota. The owner is currently residing in the property. The west side of the property is a field and the location is very sunny. The view of Mt. Asama can be seen to the north.
The building was built in 1991, and the owner has been living there since 1994. The boiler has been replaced with a heat pump water heater from the kerosene type at the time of new construction.
