South Karuizawa | Lake New Town

After exiting the Jyoshinetsu Expressway at the Usui Karuizawa Interchange and driving on the prefectural road toward the town of Karuizawa, you will soon cross the Wami Pass, which is also the border with Gunma Prefecture, and reach a straight and flat road (commonly called "Prince Street") leading to Karuizawa Station. Lake New Town is a large privately-owned vacation home community located just west of the Prince Street entrance. Since it is close to the highway exit, you can reach the villa without worrying about congestion in the town.
Lake New Town on the shore of Lake Lac Léman and Nomura Villa on the southern hillside of Lake Shiozawa are the two most well-known lakefront vacation home districts in Karuizawa. There is a rose garden called Lake Garden along Lake Lac Léman, which attracts many tourists during the season. The property is a used villa built in 1964 on a slope in one of the hillside villa areas on the south side of Lake Lac Léman, and was partially and slightly renovated in 2023. Making good use of the slope, the east side of the main house (2nd floor) and the west side of the attached building (ground floor) are connected by a staircase. In the estate registration, they are registered as "main building + annexed building". There is a garage for two cars further down the ground floor (at the same level as the street).
