Minamigaoka is located southwest of JR Karuizawa Station and is an area of quiet forested plots surrounding two golf courses, Seizan Golf Course and Karuizawa Golf Club (commonly known as "Shinkaru Golf").  Together with Minamihara, which stretches to the west of Minamigaoka, it is widely known as one of Karuizawa's representative high-end vacation home districts.

This property is a flat plot facing south, located just west of Minamihara Street, one of the main streets in Minamigaoka.  The terrain is very gently sloping down to the south, and there is a step between this property and the adjacent land to the south.  So, these terrain factors make this property a very pleasant lot that can get sunshine and south-facing views.  As you can see in the photo, there is a difference of less than 1 meter between the road and the site ground levels.

This site is in an area that was subdivided by Tokyu Land Corporation in 1961, and is lined with neatly shaped lots in roughly 700 to 800 square meters range.  The surrounding area is lined with villas.  There are only a few parcels left, including this property, that remain vacant (wooded).  It is  a one of the had to obtain  rare property.
