Minamihara is a villa area opened by Professor Kesazo Ichimura, a political scientist at Waseda University at that time.  Professor Ichimura, who was also a large landowner of Minamihara, established a villa community in Mihamihara with his fellow professor Sakae Wagatsuma and other scholars.  The tennis courts of the Minamihara Bunka Kai, a community of villa owners in Minamihara, were not allowed to be used until after 2:00 p.m. so as not to interfere with the scholars' morning study time, a rule that has been maintained to this day.

This land property is a large plot of land of about 2,100 sqm, located in the center of Minamihara, about 300 meters east of the corner of Minamihara Avenue and the Second Street.  Minamihara Avenue is the main road in this area and there is a fair amount of traffic actually.  However when you come near this property, you will not hear any car noise.  The area is also designated as a scenic zone where strict building regulations are enforced, making it the perfect place to build a mansion in the forest.
